For nearly 25 years, Evan has focused his legal practice on family law, regularly representing high net-worth individuals in complex disputes relating to child custody, alimony and child support, property distribution, business valuation, executive compensation, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and same-sex partnership issues. A seasoned negotiator and trial lawyer, he has resolved disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation in courts throughout New Jersey.
Clients rely on Evan for his guidance, keen insight, and legal acumen, as well as his empathy and common-sense approach to resolution of even the thorniest of disputes. His objective is to negotiate and resolve matters without the need for litigation, turning to mediation or arbitration first for settlement. However, when appropriate, Evan is a formidable litigator with significant experience in trial and appellate courts across New Jersey. He represents parties on motions related to post-divorce issues that arise regarding judgments and agreements on child support and custody or visitation, as well as other modifications or post-judgment matters.
Evan represents clients in all aspects of relationships, including same-sex marriages, civil unions, domestic partnerships, cohabitation, LGBTQ families, grandparent visitation, parent or child relocation, prenuptial agreements related to high net-worth or celebrity divorce, and an array of issues that impact families of every type.
A frequent author and speaker on family law issues, Evan has published several articles in the New Jersey Law Journal and appeared as a guest on podcasts and other broadcast programs.
A native of New Jersey, Evan resides with his family in Short Hills, New Jersey.
